Partner, Corporate Sustainability and Climate Change (Partner Level)
Duties: The candidate will be shaping clean energy and climate policy insight and advisory services, with a focus on leading electric sector coalitions and building and implementing a strategy for developing policy and market insights to support clients across our core markets. Partner with some of the nation’s largest, most innovative electric companies to lead the strategic identification and seizure of engagement opportunities across all levels of federal government. Access to leaders at these companies that will value your expertise and outstanding global team of experts. Leading and managing strategic direction, development, and day-to-day operations of electric sector coalitions along with stakeholder engagement. Working with extensive bench of experts to shape a strategy and operating model for delivering policy-related insights across internally and client base. Setting strategic direction by understanding how climate considerations including transition and physical risks are reshaping market expectations, engaging leaders in client organizations (including the Board, C-suite and operational management) in defining the case for change, and setting new direction for integrating climate strategy into business strategy. Building, growing, and managing a high-performance team, serving as a leader and mentor to other consultants. Identifying emerging talent and work with them to reach their full potential; ensure rising stars are nurtured, developed and given new areas of responsibility. Providing business value selling at the top levels of client organizations, raising the profile of capabilities within key client organizations, to identify and shape clients’ needs for services. Developing new client relationships and expand existing relationships by delivering strategic consulting advice, excellent value, and quality service. Maintaining pulse on key policy developments in order to prioritize sales efforts toward high-potential, top opportunities, develop new service offerings, and deliver high quality and impactful solutions to our clients in conjunction with our commercial team. Supporting the growth and development of ERM’s North American Corporate Sustainability and Climate Change services and actively collaborate with colleagues across North America and the globe. Drive innovation within the practice to stay ahead of client needs and to differentiate ERM in the market. Meeting business financial targets, overall project budget and schedule, client satisfaction/ expectations, and internal and contract requirements.
