Duties

• Analyze insurance policy rights and obligations, and prepare detailed coverage opinions

• Provide strategic legal advice to international and domestic insurers

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft related memoranda

• Draft and analyze pleadings, motions, discovery materials, and supporting briefs

• Participate in depositions, hearings, and mediations

• Manage client communication, deadlines, and matter progress

• Collaborate with legal teams across offices and disciplines as needed

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation

• Demonstrated expertise in matters involving D&O, fidelity, employment, professional liability, excess, property, and general commercial liability policies

• Admitted to practice in Washington, California, or Hawaii (additional bar admissions a plus)

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple ongoing matters

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials

Certifications

• Active license in good standing with at least one state bar (WA, CA, or HI required)
