Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Health Law Associate to join its practice in Washington, DC. The associate will support complex health care transactions, regulatory counseling, and contracting matters for a diverse range of clients in the health care industry.

Duties

  • Support health care M&A transactions, including execution, due diligence, and regulatory review.
  • Assist with PBM, managed care, pharmacy, provider, and health care services matters.
  • Draft, review, and revise transaction documents, agreements, and regulatory analyses.
  • Coordinate and manage process-driven workstreams for senior attorneys.
  • Work directly with senior attorneys and clients on transactional and regulatory matters.
  • Collaborate with cross-office and multidisciplinary teams to support objectives.
  • Develop institutional knowledge to provide stable mid-level support.
  • Contribute to the growth of the Health Law practice through efficient client service.

Requirements

  • JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Admitted or eligible for admission in DC, New York, or California.
  • At least three years of relevant health care law experience.
  • Experience in health care M&A, regulatory counseling, or contracting.
  • Familiarity with health care regulatory issues or ability to develop fluency.
  • Ability to manage workstreams independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Professionalism in client and colleague interactions.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and balance responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective collaboration in team settings.

Education

  • JD or LLM from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted or eligible for admission in DC, New York, or California.

Skills

  • Experience in health care M&A, regulatory counseling, and contracting.
