Duties

• Manage all aspects of family law cases through resolution, including negotiation and litigation.
• Prepare pleadings, conduct legal research, and draft motions and legal briefs.
• Engage in discovery and appear with clients in court proceedings, mediation, and ADR.
• Consult with clients and maintain regular communication, providing updates on case progress.
• Develop creative case strategies based on individual client circumstances and objectives.
• Advise clients and participate in case settlement discussions.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants for effective case management.
• Stay current with developments in family law to provide appropriate legal guidance.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Maryland and D.C. bar; Virginia bar admission helpful.
• Proficiency in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to professional ethics and personal integrity.
• Experience in family law practice, litigation, and ADR.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications
