Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced attorney in Atlanta, GA, to join a dynamic team specializing in the defense of insureds, self-insured retailers, and other businesses. The role involves active participation in all litigation stages, including client and witness meetings, drafting motions and briefs, depositions, hearings, mediations, trial preparation, and trials for a diverse client base.

Duties

• Litigate premises liability and tort cases from inception through trial in Georgia state and federal courts.
• Engage in pleadings, motion practice, depositions, dispositive motions, pre-trial proceedings, trial, post-trial motions, and appeals.
• Maintain client contact and provide regular reporting.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the state bar association.
• 7-10+ years of post-J.D. experience in insurance defense, premises liability, trial practice, civil litigation, and/or judicial clerkship.
• Strong writing, research, oral advocacy, trial, and organizational skills.
• Drive and passion for trial practice.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Georgia Bar License (Required)
