Class Action Attorney

Profile

A law firm located in Burbank is seeking a Class Action Attorney with 0-3 years of employment law experience, preferably with class action experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent research and writing skills, a strong understanding of the California Labor Code, and the ability to handle all aspects of the firm's class action cases. The Class Action Attorney will work closely with the head of the Class Action Department and will have the opportunity to handle all aspects of the firm’s class action cases, from initial investigation/intake through settlement approval. They will be responsible for reviewing potential client files, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery, communicating with clients, and conducting original legal research.

Duties:

• Review potential client files for class action suitability
• Draft pleadings, motions, mediation briefs, and settlement agreements
• Conduct written and deposition discovery
• Communicate effectively with clients and potential clients
• Conduct original legal research on various topics related to class action litigation
• Collaborate with Class Action department staff on case strategy and preparation
• Provide guidance to non-attorney team members as needed
• Ensure compliance with the California Labor Code and other relevant laws
• Handle all aspects of class action cases, from initial investigation to settlement approval

Requirements:

• 0-3 years of employment law experience
• Class action experience preferred
• Strong understanding of the California Labor Code
• Excellent research and writing skills
• Exceptional problem-solving skills
• Good standing with the CA State Bar

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the California State Bar
