Job Overview

A law firm seeks a midlevel Litigation Associate for its New York office. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of experience in complex commercial, class action defense, and financial services litigation. They should possess strong writing and interpersonal skills and be eager to work collaboratively across offices.

Duties

• Analyze issues, conduct research, and draft briefs for complex litigation.
• Prepare for and participate in motion arguments.
• Prepare outlines and exhibits for depositions; taking or defending depositions is a plus.
• Engage in trial preparation, including direct and cross-examination outlines and exhibits.
• Work strategically and analytically with clients.
• Manage cases, including discovery responses, document review, and expert collaboration.

Requirements

• Solid academic performance.
• Good standing with the NY State Bar.
• Admission to the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York preferred.
• Law Review/Journal and/or Moot Court experience preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
