Duties

• Handle all aspects of divorce and family law cases from inception through completion.
• Draft motions, cross motions, and ex parte emergency motions.
• Manage the discovery process and prepare exhibits for hearings and trials.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw.
• Draft discovery demands and oversee document production.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop strategies and advise clients.
• Manage case deadlines and communicate with clients and opposing counsel.

Requirements

• Proficiency in New York and federal civil and appellate procedures.
• Experience in various litigation phases.
• Ability to handle multiple cases under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent research and writing skills.
• Excellent academic record and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working with clients in stressful situations.
• Some trial or hearing experience is helpful.
• Must be admitted to practice in New York.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills

• Strong legal analysis and communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw.
