A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in White Plains, New York, with a minimum of two years of experience in matrimonial and family law to join its growing practice. The successful candidate will manage matters from inception through resolution and must demonstrate strong legal acumen, sound judgment, and professionalism in handling sensitive and high-conflict matters.

Duties

• Manage matrimonial and family law matters from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, petitions, stipulations, motions, settlement agreements, and related legal instruments.
• Appear before the Court for conferences, hearings, and motion practice.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda of law.
• Maintain client relations and provide case status updates.
• Liaise with the Court, court personnel, opposing counsel, and firm staff in connection with assigned matters.
• Provide representation in matters including divorce, custody and visitation, child support, family offense proceedings, and orders of protection.
• Maintain complete and orderly case files.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to practice law in the State of New York.
• Minimum of two years of experience in matrimonial and family law.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and drafting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently and independently.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and professionalism in emotionally sensitive matters.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and standard legal software.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in the State of New York.
