Duties

• Provide legal representation in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and adoption.
• Draft legal documents such as motions and settlement agreements.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda.
• Assist in case preparation for hearings and trials.
• Represent clients in court under senior attorney guidance.
• Manage a caseload and ensure timely filing of documents.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies.
• Participate in client meetings and strategy sessions.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active state bar membership in New Jersey; New York license is a plus.
• At least 3 years of experience in family law.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and tasks effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of family law procedures and court rules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Zoom.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active state bar membership in New Jersey.

Skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with family law software is preferred.
• Law clerkship experience is preferred.
