A law firm seeks a Matrimonial/Family Law Associate Attorney in Brooklyn, NY. The firm is expanding its Matrimonial Department and is looking for an attorney with 7-10 years of experience. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team dedicated to providing quality counsel and personalized service.

Duties

• Prepare pleadings, motions, depositions, and briefs.
• Appear in various courts throughout the tri-state area.
• Direct cases through the litigation cycle and develop cost-effective strategies.
• Manage a large volume of cases and attend court as necessary.
• Organize and track case status and assist in managing attorney court appearances and calendars.
• Represent clients in divorce, custody, child support, and other family matters.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in matrimonial/family law.
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
• Excellent oral communication skills and ability to interact with clients and court staff.
• Team player with a collaborative attitude.
• Knowledge of Supreme Court and Family Court procedures.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• NY Bar admittance required.
