Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Immigration Attorney in Jamaica, New York. This growing practice requires an experienced attorney capable of managing their caseload independently with minimal supervision. The firm serves the Hispanic community across the New York Metropolitan area, including New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Fluency in Spanish is advantageous, and strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills are essential. This is a hybrid full-time position.

Duties

• Appear in court, primarily Immigration Court, with occasional Family and Criminal Court appearances.
• Draft legal documents such as petitions, waivers, motions, and appeals.
• Review legal documents prepared by legal assistants or other attorneys.
• Manage caseloads independently.
• Advise clients on legal matters.

Requirements

• Admitted to the NY Bar (required); NY/NJ Bar admission is a plus.
• Two or more years of experience preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• NY Bar admission.

Skills

• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
