Job Overview:
A leading law firm in Phoenix, Arizona is seeking a dedicated Immigration Attorney with 1–5 years of experience to join its EOIR (Executive Office for Immigration Review) practice. This role offers the opportunity to represent both detained and non-detained clients in removal proceedings, manage a diverse caseload, and collaborate with a supportive team of attorneys and legal assistants. Ideal candidates will be passionate about immigration law and committed to delivering high-quality representation in complex cases.

Duties:
Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
Conduct client intake interviews, including visits to detention centers
Prepare and review a wide variety of immigration applications and legal briefs
Provide legal analysis and determine case strategies for clients
Present legal options and strategic solutions to individuals facing removal
Meet with potential clients for immigration consultations
Prepare clients and witnesses for court hearings and USCIS interviews
Collaborate with community-based organizations, law enforcement, and prosecutors on immigration law issues
Stay updated on changes in immigration law and policy
Work closely with senior attorneys and contribute to team case strategy
Requirements:
1–5 years of experience practicing immigration law, specifically removal defense
Experience handling detained and non-detained EOIR cases
Familiarity with family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, naturalization, and USCIS applications
Ability to independently manage a caseload and move cases forward
Willingness to collaborate in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
Certifications:
Admission to practice law in any U.S. state (Arizona Bar preferred or willingness to obtain)
Skills:
Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
Proficiency with immigration case management software preferred
