Duties

• Review and evaluate new case files to establish legal strategies, budgets, and recommendations

• Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and other litigation documents

• Prepare and respond to discovery requests; oversee document production

• Attend and report on depositions, hearings, and discovery proceedings

• Negotiate settlements and secure settlement authority as needed

• Prepare for trial when required

• Maintain consistent communication with paralegals and legal assistants

• Collaborate with attorneys across jurisdictions on multi-state cases

Requirements

• 1–5 years of litigation experience; insurance defense experience encouraged

• Licensed to practice law in Rhode Island and Massachusetts (Required)

• Admission to Connecticut Bar is a plus

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong organizational and time management abilities

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active licenses in Rhode Island and Massachusetts (Required)

• Connecticut license (Preferred)
