A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney with a focus on litigation to join their team in Manitowoc, WI. Duties

• Handle all phases of civil litigation, including pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Draft and argue motions, including dispositive motions.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, briefs, and case strategy analyses.
• Manage discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery and taking/defending depositions.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
• Assist with trial preparation and courtroom appearances as needed.
• Manage a caseload with appropriate supervision while maintaining high-quality work product.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice and in good standing in Wisconsin.
• 2+ years of experience in civil litigation preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience with discovery, motion practice, and client communication.
• Ability to manage multiple matters efficiently and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong attention to detail and sound professional judgment.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice and in good standing in Wisconsin.
