A law firm seeks an experienced Trial Attorney to join its team in Vero Beach, FL, or any of its other office locations across Florida. This full-time, in-office position offers the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging civil litigation cases. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in litigation practices, including preparing complaints, motions, depositions, and representing clients in trials. Strong advocacy and communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Duties:

• Prepare legal documents such as complaints, motions, and other filings related to civil litigation matters.
• Represent clients in court during trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
• Conduct depositions and witness examinations.
• Provide strategic legal counsel to clients, ensuring timely and effective case progression.
• Negotiate settlements and engage in alternative dispute resolution as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop case strategies and resolve complex legal matters.
• Maintain clear, courteous, and professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in civil litigation, including trial preparation and courtroom representation.
• Proven ability to handle legal proceedings from start to finish with professionalism and confidence.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to advocate effectively in high-pressure situations.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active law license in good standing with the state Bar.
• Board certification is a plus.
