Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities Associate to join its Finance and Real Estate practice in New York. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of securitization experience and will work with a team representing issuers, underwriters, servicers, and investors in the CRE securitization and CMBS marketplace.

Duties

• Prepare bid letters and negotiate confidentiality agreements.
• Draft securitization disclosure and operative documents, including pooling and servicing agreements.
• Manage mortgage loan purchase agreements and investor certifications.
• Engage in commercial real estate repurchase facility and warehouse lending.
• Participate as a key member of deal teams, managing transactions from due diligence to closing.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of securitization experience.
• Experience in large law firms is strongly preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in New York.

Skills

• Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
