Job Overview:
A highly respected national law firm is currently seeking a skilled Litigation Associate to join its healthcare practice group. This role is ideal for a litigation attorney with a strong academic background and an interest in complex legal matters within the healthcare sector. While prior healthcare experience is not required, familiarity with the industry will be considered an asset. The position offers the opportunity to engage in challenging and meaningful litigation work across multiple jurisdictions.

Location:

• Washington, D.C.

Duties:

• Represent clients in litigation matters related to the healthcare industry

• Draft and revise legal pleadings, motions, and briefs

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda

• Support senior attorneys in trial preparation and courtroom proceedings

• Participate in depositions, hearings, and client meetings

• Monitor changes in healthcare regulations and litigation trends

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of litigation experience (3–5 years preferred)

• Admission to the bar in the jurisdiction of the desired office location

• Demonstrated excellence in legal writing, research, and analysis

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing deadlines

• Healthcare industry experience preferred but not required

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic credentials required

Certifications:

• Active member in good standing of the bar in D.C

Skills:

• Exceptional writing and oral communication skills
