Job Overview:
A top-tier law firm is seeking a seasoned Of Counsel attorney to support its litigation practice, with a strong emphasis on pharmaceutical and medical device product liability cases. The successful candidate will demonstrate superior legal writing skills, especially in Daubert and Rule 702 motions, and play a critical role in shaping litigation strategy while mentoring junior legal staff and interacting with clients and experts.

Location:

• Reston, VA

Duties:

• Review and draft discovery responses, motions, memoranda, and legal briefs

• Handle Daubert and Rule 702 motion practice with precision and insight

• Supervise and mentor associates within litigation teams

• Collaborate with expert witnesses and assist in testimony preparation

• Assist in factual investigation and deposition strategy

• Engage with clients on case progress and legal advice

• Contribute to strategic planning for litigation matters

Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years of litigation experience, preferably with an AmLaw 100 firm

• Demonstrated experience with Rule 702 and Daubert issues

• Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical and medical device industry litigation

• Ability to manage large case files and oversee junior attorneys

• Proven success in product liability defense

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

• Strong academic record from a nationally respected institution

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in the relevant U.S. jurisdiction

• Admission to the New York Bar is strongly encouraged

Skills:

• Excellent analytical and persuasive legal writing skills

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational ability

• Effective at managing teams and legal workflow

• Skilled in oral and written communication with clients and internal teams
