Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Attorney in Fort Washington, PA, with the option for remote work. The ideal candidate will have experience representing secured creditors in consumer Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases. A minimum of 2 years' experience and knowledge of the Bankruptcy Code and Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure are preferred, though training is available for the right candidate. A license to practice law in Pennsylvania is required.

Duties

• Manage routine bankruptcy matters.
• Draft and review pleadings and claims.
• Attend scheduled hearings.
• Respond to firm-wide bankruptcy inquiries.
• Review client filings.
• Monitor electronic filings (ECFs).
• Resolve routine bankruptcy issues.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court.

Requirements

• Knowledge of bankruptcy rules and creditor rights laws.
• Computer literacy.
• Professionalism and attention to detail.
• Strong keyboard and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
• Admitted to District and/or Bankruptcy Courts in PA.
