Duties:
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in complex restructuring matters, both in-court and out-of-court.
- Assist in structuring and negotiating restructuring transactions, including debt restructuring, bankruptcy proceedings, and distressed asset sales.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support client matters and provide strategic guidance.
- Draft and review legal documents, including restructuring plans, agreements, and court filings.
- Collaborate with clients, creditors, and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes in restructuring proceedings.
- Represent clients in bankruptcy court hearings, negotiations, and mediation sessions.
- Stay updated on changes in bankruptcy laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide proactive legal advice.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar and eligibility to practice law in Delaware.
- 5+ years of experience in restructuring law, with a focus on both in-court and out-of-court restructurings.
- Substantial company-side representation experience, demonstrating the ability to advocate for clients facing financial distress.
- Strong understanding of bankruptcy laws, including Chapter 11 proceedings, and experience with distressed debt transactions.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
