Duties:

• Manage and lead insurance defense litigation cases, including first-chair courtroom appearances.
• Formulate comprehensive litigation strategies and develop cost-effective plans.
• Conduct case evaluations, assess exposures, and provide sound legal counsel to clients.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of South Carolina's substantive and procedural law, as well as federal procedural rules.
• Deliver high-quality legal research, writing, and oral advocacy.
• Foster strong client relationships and provide superior customer service.
• Actively participate in negotiations and mediation, demonstrating strong case analysis and resolution skills.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, including trial experience.
• Proven ability to strategize, analyze cases, and successfully navigate complex legal matters.
• Strong credentials, including a solid academic background and exceptional communication skills (both written and oral).
• Client-focused with excellent relationship management abilities.
• A history of effective negotiation and dispute resolution.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Must be a member in good standing of the South Carolina Bar.

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of South Carolina.
