Duties:

  • Manage and support complex litigation cases, with a focus on the energy and transportation sectors

  • Take depositions, including expert depositions, and prepare case evaluations

  • Draft, review, and argue motions in court

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis

  • Collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues to develop strategies and provide legal advice

  • Demonstrate exceptional writing, analytical, and advocacy skills

  • Work efficiently under pressure, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines

  • Take initiative in managing client relationships and delegating tasks

  • Participate in trial preparation, ensuring all necessary documentation and evidence are ready for court

  • Show leadership potential and contribute to team development

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant litigation experience in the energy and/or transportation sectors

  • Strong ability to handle expert depositions, case evaluations, and motion writing

  • Ability to think critically and analytically with strong problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment

  • Capacity to quickly adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment

  • Demonstrate exceptional client service, interpersonal, and communication skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong legal research and writing abilities

  • Trial experience, particularly first or second chair, is a plus

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
