Duties and Responsibilities

• Litigation Management

  • Handle a variety of civil litigation matters, representing clients in both state and federal courts.
  • Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, and other necessary filings.

• Case Strategy and Preparation

  • Conduct legal research and draft high-quality legal memoranda.
  • Prepare cases for trial by managing case files, organizing evidence, and collaborating with senior attorneys to strategize.

• Client Communication

  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and advice on case progress.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients and external parties.

• Collaboration and Teamwork

  • Work as part of a team to handle complex litigation matters, ensuring timely and effective case management.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and staff to support case preparation and strategy.

Requirements

• Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience in litigation, preferably in civil matters.
  • Proven ability to handle legal drafting, case preparation, and client communication.

• Licensing

  • Must be admitted to the Montana Bar and in good standing.

• Skills

  • Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage cases in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications
