A Personal Injury Attorney is needed to manage a caseload from inception to resolution, providing comprehensive legal services and representing clients effectively in various proceedings. Location: Miami, FL
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage personal injury cases from inception to resolution
- Interact with clients, addressing their questions and providing case updates
- Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law
- Prepare and review legal documents, including complaints, answers, discovery requests, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements
- Manage the discovery process
- Negotiate with opposing parties, insurance companies, and defense attorneys to achieve favorable settlements
- Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, mediations, and trials
- Analyze case strengths and weaknesses, identifying potential legal issues
- Conduct case evaluations to assess success likelihood and risks
- Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff for effective case management
- Stay updated on personal injury law through seminars and continuing legal education
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active Bar license in the relevant jurisdiction
- Experience in personal injury law preferred
Certifications:
- Active Bar membership
Skills:
- Strong understanding of personal injury law and litigation processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in legal research and document preparation
