Responsibilities
Description of duties and responsibilities:

Increase sales and market share of MSA\u2019s complete line of environmental, health and safety products to industrial, construction and commercial customers.
Implement strategies and tactics relating to target markets and segments.
Develop and manage the business-to-business relationships with regional and national distribution partners.
Maintain active working relationships with the region\u2019s largest end-users and focus on developing and closing opportunities at all top accounts with special focus on competitive conversions.
Develop, communicate and implement appropriate sales strategies and action plans.
Effectively communicate voice of customer (VOC) feedback into our new product development process and to other stakeholders.
Partner with other team members and channel partners to support \u201cin service\u201d product training and other new product implementation activities at end user customers.
Coordinate/motivate sales and service coverage within the distribution network.
Report trends/conditions, competitive activity and sales opportunities into a CRM program.
Leverage internet and social media tools to complete research and share product information or solutions.

Qualifications
Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

Demonstrated selling and account management skills.
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal).
Proven analytical ability and solid leadership qualities.
Ability to grasp technical product knowledge.
Knowledge of the industrial and geographic market.
Demonstrated ability to execute sales plans and overcome obstacles.
Excellent computer skills including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Proven planning and organizational skills.
Proven success in training.
Willingness to travel 25-50% domestically.

Education and experience required:

High school diploma or equivalent
This position is posted at 3 different levels:

Level I:  4 years of sales experience
Level II:  5 years of sales experience
Level III:  6 years of sales experience

Previous safety and/or technical product sales experience.
Experience working with SAP CRM or equivalent pipeline management tool.

Preferred:

Bachelor\u2019s degree in business or relevant field.
6 years of industrial sales experience working with end users and distribution.
QSSP (Qualified Safety Sales Professional) Certification or relevant technical expertise.
Sales experience with fall protection, gas protection and respiratory protection.
