The candidate will be drafting and negotiating Private Letter Rulings and 9100 relief requests. Drafting of tax opinions and memoranda. Penalty abatement requests. Litigation support. Managing engagement profitability, billings to clients, and engagement team resources. Assisting with drafting and presenting proposals to new and existing clients. Providing leadership, counseling, and career guidance for the development and motivation of the engagement team. Should have Bachelor’s degree. Should have previous Big 4, CPA firm, law firm, or IRS experience.; 4+ years of federal tax experience, including federal tax controversy experience; JD degree; CPA certification if qualified to sit for the CPA; excellent research skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to travel up to 25% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors serve; LLM degree.
