A leading law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney with 4–7 years of experience to join its team in Rochester, NY. Location:

Duties:

Client Representation:

• Serve as lead counsel in litigation, arbitration, and mediation matters for commercial and institutional clients

• Draft and argue complex motions and legal briefs at various litigation stages

• Conduct in-depth legal research and provide strategic counsel throughout proceedings

• Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, settlement negotiations, and trials

Case Management:

• Independently manage complex litigation caseloads with minimal supervision

• Oversee discovery processes, including document production and deposition preparation

• Develop and implement litigation strategies in collaboration with partners and clients

• Coordinate expert witnesses, trial preparation, and logistics in multi-party litigation

Firm & Practice Development:

• Contribute to the development of case management systems and litigation best practices

• Mentor junior attorneys and supervise support staff on legal matters

• Participate in business development initiatives and client relationship management

• Take part in firm-wide leadership initiatives and practice group advancement

Requirements:

• 4–7 years of litigation experience with demonstrated ability to manage cases independently

• Experience handling complex commercial and/or general civil litigation matters

• Background in appellate, creditors’ rights, family law, or labor & employment is a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in New York State

Skills:

• Strong litigation strategy and courtroom experience

• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills

• Ability to lead litigation matters and manage client expectations

• Effective mentoring and team leadership abilities
