A law firm seeks an Attorney for its South Charleston, WV office. The successful candidate will collaborate with senior counsel to defend general liability cases from inception through trial.

Duties

• Analyze complex legal and factual issues.
• Conduct legal research and develop defense strategies.
• Prepare pleadings, discovery, and document production.
• Take and defend depositions, including witness preparation.
• Research, draft, file, and argue motions.
• Provide legal advice and services to clients.
• Resolve litigation promptly and effectively.
• Communicate professionally with court and counsel.

Requirements

• Experienced litigation attorney.
• Minimum of 5+ years in active law practice; civil defense experience preferred.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Licensed to practice in West Virginia.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in West Virginia.
