Director Distribution Manager
The candidate will report to the Regional Head of Large Corporate, take prime responsibility for pipeline and relationship management with major brokers and independently drive the broker administration process. Schedule and chair regular development meetings and capability pitches to actively manage the pipeline of renewals and new business prospects, contact mapping, contributing towards the planning and hosting of broker hospitality events. Manage the broker administration process including agency/broker accreditation, broker credit scoring and negotiation of Terms of Business Agreements (TOBA’s), broker remuneration strategy, and broker credit control. Manage the broker file maintenance process including managing broker records - structure charts, hierarchies, file notes, and broker contacts. Manage all broker matters related to the AGCS sales IT platform (Salesforce). Achieve new business targets and retention ratio. Monitor and control local adherence to commission tables. Through regular dialogue with designated LoBs, manage relationship with internal LoBs to enhance AGCS offering to key broking partners. Support other Middle Market initiatives as appropriate such as Net Promoter Score, segmentation, product development, value proposition, contributing to broker sales plan, etc.. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Law, or an appropriate discipline with completion of a professional insurance qualification (e.g., CII) is preferred. Should have 7+ years’ significant experience in underwriting or development role in industrial or specialty insurance business with specialized knowledge in various Lines of Business. Substantial experience delivering in a sales environment with robust knowledge in one trade sector is required. Fostering long term, profitable relationships at senior level in broker client organizations, and being well established within your local market is key to being successful in this role.
