IP Docketing Specialist

The candidate performs all actions required to maintain worldwide patent protection for assigned client portfolios, and coordinates with client, in-house attorney, foreign associate and annuity service. Manages PATTSY WAVE docketing system. Responsible for assigned client portfolios. Reviews incoming and outgoing communications (U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), client, in-house attorney, foreign associate and annuity service). Drafts correspondence to the USPTO, client, foreign associate and annuity service. Prepares and files non-U.S. patent applications (PCT, direct national, PCT national, divisional and Hong Kong registration), Chapter II Demand and Invitation to Correct Defects. Processes formal filing requirements for foreign patent applications (translation, Power of Attorney, Assignment, certified document, etc.). Coordinates payment of foreign annuity, U.S. and foreign issue fees and U.S. maintenance fee. Requests examination for foreign patent applications. Prepares PATTSY WAVE reports and Global IP Estimator. Enters flat-fee billing charges. Performs other duties as assigned. Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Must have High School degree or equivalent. Should have experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Adobe. High School degree or equivalent; college or business school desirable. Patent preparation and prosecution and/or IP docketing experience a plus. Experience with PATTSY WAVE docketing system preferred. Experience with PCT Safe, ePCT, and Global IP Estimator preferred. Law Firm experience preferred.
