A law firm seeks a Senior Attorney to join their team in Oakland, California. This full-time position involves representing clients in various legal proceedings and managing complex real estate and foreclosure cases.

Duties

• Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings, including mediations and depositions.
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and appellate briefs.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex real estate issues.
• Manage cases from inception through resolution, ensuring compliance with court rules.
• Counsel clients on case strategy, risk, and outcomes.
• Oversee and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals.

Requirements

• Active California State Bar license in good standing.
• 10+ years of litigation experience.
• Minimum 2 years of real estate law experience required.
• Experience in real estate transactions is a plus.
• Strong experience in drafting motions and appeals.
• Proven success in depositions and courtroom advocacy.
• Excellent legal writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage a full litigation caseload independently.
• Law Review, clerkship, or appellate experience preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active California State Bar license.
