Duties

• Represent creditors, lenders, and businesses in bankruptcy and creditors' rights matters.
• Handle bankruptcy, state, and federal court proceedings, including hearings and motions.
• Manage collection litigation, judgments, and post-judgment enforcement proceedings.
• Draft legal documents and conduct legal research to develop case strategies.
• Advise clients on bankruptcy issues such as claims and fraudulent transfers.
• Engage in commercial litigation involving contract and financial disputes.
• Communicate directly with clients, offering practical legal advice.
• Collaborate effectively with partners and other attorneys.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in Iowa.
• 3+ years of bankruptcy experience, focusing on creditor representation.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative approach and desire to grow within the practice group.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Iowa and in good standing.

Skills

• Experience with bankruptcy court proceedings and collection litigation.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Commercial litigation experience preferred.
