Duties:

• Handle complex legal matters involving insurance disputes, coverage issues, and bad-faith claims

• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

• Conduct legal research and case analysis

• Manage discovery, including depositions and document production

• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and trials as needed

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop litigation strategy

• Maintain detailed documentation using case management tools and software

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the judiciary

Requirements:

• Active license in good standing with The Florida Bar

• Prior experience (internship, clerkship, or practice) involving insurance defense or related litigation preferred

• Ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced legal environment

• Proficiency in legal research and drafting legal documents

• Effective oral advocacy and persuasive writing skills

• Strong organizational habits and ability to meet deadlines

• Comfortable engaging in direct client contact and courtroom appearances

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Member of The Florida Bar (mandatory)

Skills:

• Legal analysis and problem-solving

• Drafting and negotiation

• Communication and advocacy

• Litigation strategy and case management

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Familiarity with legal billing and case tracking systems
