Location:

• Mineola, NY

Duties:

• Handle a diverse caseload involving franchise disputes between auto and marine dealers and manufacturers
• Independently manage litigation files from inception to resolution
• Conduct depositions and argue motions
• Participate in hearings and trial preparation, with some trial experience preferred
• Prepare legal documents, including briefs, motions, and discovery
• Provide superior client service with a focus on clear communication and strategic advice
• Collaborate effectively with senior attorneys and team members
• Maintain a high level of professionalism in all client interactions and court appearances

Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years of litigation experience in New York and federal courts
• Strong courtroom presence with experience in depositions and oral argument of motions
• Prior experience with hearings and trial work is a plus
• Excellent writing skills, with a focus on drafting legal documents and correspondence
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team
• Ability to handle a caseload independently while maintaining attention to detail
• A professional and cordial demeanor in all client and colleague interactions

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the New York State Bar (preferred)

Skills:

• Superb legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong oral advocacy and courtroom experience
