Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced General Liability Partner to join their practice in Texas. This role offers the flexibility to manage your practice remotely while contributing to the firm's expansion across the state. The position is open to candidates based in Austin, TX, or anywhere within Texas.

Duties

• Independently manage a diverse General Liability caseload from inception through trial.
• Leverage relationships with insurance carriers and corporate clients to build a local book of business.
• Lead depositions, mediations, and court appearances across Texas jurisdictions.
• Recruit, supervise, and develop junior attorneys and legal support staff.
• Provide sophisticated legal analysis and risk assessment to clients.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Texas Bar Membership in good standing or eligibility for admission without examination.
• Minimum of 5+ years of Insurance Defense litigation experience, focusing on General Liability.
• Proven track record as lead counsel in jury trials.
• Ability to manage high-volume caseloads efficiently.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Texas Bar Membership in good standing.

Skills

• Strong litigation and trial advocacy skills.
• Excellent client management and communication abilities.
• Proficient in legal research and analysis.
