General Liability Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent litigation-focused law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its General Liability and Construction Defect practice group. This full-time role is available in multiple California offices and offers a dynamic, collaborative work environment handling complex civil litigation matters. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of relevant experience, strong litigation skills, and the ability to manage cases independently. Recruitment is being conducted on behalf of the firm.

Location:

• Irvine, CA

Duties:

• Manage a litigation caseload independently, handling both local and national accounts throughout California

• Conduct and defend depositions, including those of plaintiffs and expert witnesses

• Prepare witnesses for deposition and trial testimony

• Draft and respond to discovery requests and motions

• Prepare and file pleadings and legal documents, including e-filings

• Assist in all aspects of trial preparation and provide courtroom support

• Maintain timely and accurate timekeeping records

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in general liability and/or construction defect litigation

• Demonstrated experience in motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation

• Ability to manage complex matters and multitask effectively

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Capable of working independently and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active and good-standing admission to the California State Bar (required)

Skills:

• Superior legal research and writing abilities
