Duties

• Conduct legal research on U.S. and foreign law, utilizing LexisNexis.
• Draft and revise contracts and other legal documents.
• Perform due diligence and establish new corporations and joint ventures.
• Engage in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, banking, and securities work.
• Manage cases, draft briefs and motions, and complete discovery requests and responses.
• Prepare for hearings and trials, and investigate and fact-check information.
• Communicate effectively with clients and engage in client development work.
• Review case documents and evidence.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, negotiation, and legal reasoning skills.
• Proficiency in client development work.
• Knowledge of foreign languages, such as Chinese, Mongolian, Korean, Japanese, French, Spanish, and Hebrew, is useful but not essential.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to the California State Bar.

Skills

• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Competence in using LexisNexis.
