Deputy Director

The candidate will act in place of Division Contract Director, with all authority, as needed, in Division Director’s absence. Support the Division Director and Division management in all phases of work. Assist in providing management oversight of approximately 115 staff located in 21 Districts. Interface with Government attorneys, CORs, Case Managers, and other component staff. Manage/track projects, task orders, and task order mods; and prepare Litigation Support Plans. Maintain spreadsheets for tracking and monitoring funding. Manage a small team of Project Supervisors and eDiscovery personnel as needed. Establish collective relationships with co-workers, team members, and a trusted partner rapport with client(s). Advanced to expert knowledge of data hosting platforms such as Relativity and Venio. In addition, the candidate should possess a working understanding of Technology Assisted Review (TAR) tools like the Brainspace, Relativity Assisted Review, or Equivio. Finally, the PM should be knowledgeable in Electronic File Processing (EFP) tools such as IPRO eCapture, LexisNexis LAW, and Venio. Experience plotting out and implementing workflows for all phases of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) from the information management and collection phases all the way through to the production and presentation phases in a government investigation and/or litigation. Experience formulating project budgets and developing level-of-effort (LOE) projections, maintain and update project tracking logs, track case financials/spend, and monitor the health and scope across projects (i.e., time, cost, and resource statuses/impacts). Evaluate staff performance and manage subcontractor performance. Coordinate with internal corporate resources such as Finance, HR, Accounting, Recruiting, and Procurement to facilitate project needs and requirements. Engage with GSCM to manage subcontractors and vendors. Review and track invoices to ensure all invoices are finalized and submitted to the client each month. Respond to questions on funding and invoicing. Support proposals and task order bids. Attend weekly and monthly client meetings. Be adept at absorbing diffuse information, critically analyzing it, preparing summary reports, and presenting the same to internal as well as external stakeholders. Be able work with internal corporate resources such as Finance, HR, Accounting, and Procurement to facilitate project needs and requirements. Must be able to obtain a US government security clearance. At least six (6) years of progressively more responsible experience in major litigation support projects, including at least two (2) years of Project Manager experience or equivalent. At least 4 years of prior experience managing a small team of individuals including supervising and managing direct reports. Demonstrated ability to manage numerous complex and time-critical litigation support activities simultaneously, including technical/data processing support activities. Requires expert knowledge of litigation support; outstanding writing skills; outstanding oral communication skills; outstanding management skills. Must be able to anticipate litigation support needs and develop and execute detailed plans for addressing needs. Experience utilizing technology to support litigation workflow, including document review platforms, trial support applications, and eDiscovery tools. Undergraduate degree or other pertinent degree valued. Extensive e-discovery knowledge, trial experience, and exemplary customer communication skills preferred. Government Contracting experience and knowledge of the Government's data processing environments, including office automation networks, PC-based database, and other applications. Proficiently with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and Adobe Acrobat, required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Need to be proactive, organized and detail oriented.
