Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm based in Kansas City, MO is seeking a driven and client-focused Personal Injury Associate Attorney to handle cases involving motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, and premises liability. This position, available through a legal recruiting agency on behalf of the firm, offers the opportunity to join a collaborative environment focused on advocacy, strategic litigation, and client outcomes. The role involves managing a full caseload from intake through resolution and engaging in direct negotiations and court representation.

Duties:

• Oversee a docket of personal injury claims including automobile, workplace, and premises-related incidents

• Conduct initial client consultations and evaluate potential claims for legal merit

• Prepare, draft, and file legal documents such as complaints, motions, and discovery materials

• Negotiate resolutions with insurance adjusters and opposing parties

• Represent clients during depositions, mediations, and court hearings

• Coordinate case progress with support staff including paralegals and legal assistants

• Maintain accurate and organized case records in line with firm procedures

Requirements:

• Active Bar membership in Missouri and Kansas (Licenses in IL or TX are advantageous)

• At least 2 years of prior experience handling personal injury matters

• Proven skills in negotiation, litigation, and case management

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-moving, team-oriented setting

• Demonstrated dedication to client service and favorable legal outcomes

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas
