Duties

• Represent clients in criminal proceedings and personal injury claims.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and briefs.
• Conduct client consultations and evaluate cases.
• Develop strategies through legal research and case investigation.
• Negotiate plea agreements and settlements.
• Represent clients at depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials.
• Maintain strong client communication and manage expectations.
• Collaborate with paralegals, assistants, and fellow attorneys.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing in Texas (MO, KS, IL a plus).
• 1-3 years of experience in criminal law and/or personal injury.
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage a high-volume and diverse caseload independently.
• Commitment to client advocacy and ethical legal practice.
• Must be fluent in Spanish.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed and in good standing in Texas.

Skills

• Strong litigation, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Fluency in Spanish.
