Job Overview

A prestigious law firm in Plano, TX, is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing litigation team. Duties

• Draft and argue motions in complex commercial litigation cases.
• Manage all aspects of discovery, including propounding and responding to requests.
• Conducted and defended depositions of fact witnesses and experts.
• Assist in trial preparation, including strategy development and witness examination.
• Represent clients in jury and bench trials, as well as alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
• Work closely with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and client communication.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft persuasive memoranda and pleadings.
• Maintain case files and managed deadlines effectively.

Requirements

• 3-7 years of experience in commercial litigation within a mid-size to large law firm or comparable trial experience.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to handle cases independently and manage litigation from inception to resolution.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Licensed to practice law in Texas and good standing with the Texas Bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Texas Bar is required.
