A nationally respected law firm is seeking a Staff Attorney to join its Commercial Litigation practice, focusing on insurance bad faith matters. This position is ideal for litigators with 3–5 years of experience who have handled first-party insurance disputes, especially those representing insurance carriers. Location:

Duties:

  • Handle first-party insurance and bad faith litigation matters

  • Represent clients, particularly insurance carriers, in complex coverage disputes

  • Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and related litigation documents

  • Oversee significant case development and management tasks

  • Navigate proceedings in both state and federal courts

  • Produce high-quality work under tight deadlines

  • Collaborate with team members across litigation matters while maintaining independent task management

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of litigation experience

  • Prior experience in first-party insurance and bad faith litigation required

  • Experience representing insurance carriers strongly preferred

  • Capable of managing litigation files with minimal supervision

  • Consistent follow-through and reliability

  • Ability to integrate into a hybrid or remote working environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Texas Bar (active and in good standing)

Skills:

  • Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills

  • Proficiency in drafting and arguing motions

  • Strong knowledge of local state and federal court procedures

  • Effective case management and litigation strategy execution

  • Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
