A prominent law firm located in Baltimore, MD is seeking a mid-level attorney with hands-on experience in workers’ compensation and employer liability matters. Duties:

• Represent clients in workers’ compensation and employer liability proceedings

• Handle a diverse docket involving depositions, motion practice, hearings, and settlement negotiations

• Analyze complex legal and medical documentation relevant to injury claims

• Maintain regular communication with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel

• Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, motions, and pleadings

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and strategic case resolution

• Manage court deadlines and appearance schedules across multiple jurisdictions

• Uphold high standards in case preparation, advocacy, and legal writing

Requirements:

• Active law licenses in both Maryland and Pennsylvania

• Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing in the area of workers’ compensation or related fields

• Proficiency in litigation workflows and ability to work independently on a full caseload

• Comfort with digital systems and paperless environments

• Availability to be onsite in the Baltimore office approximately three times weekly

• Admissions in jurisdictions such as Delaware, the District of Columbia, Virginia, or West Virginia are advantageous

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

• Bar admission in Maryland and Pennsylvania (required)

• Additional Bar admissions are considered an asset

Skills:

• Excellent legal research, analytical, and writing capabilities

• Strong verbal communication and negotiation aptitude

• Detail-oriented with a high level of organizational efficiency

• Adaptable to high-volume case environments with shifting priorities

• Technologically proficient and comfortable working in virtual legal systems

Job Location:

• Baltimore, MD (Hybrid: remote with 3 in-office days per week)
