Duties

• Represent clients in various immigration proceedings, ensuring the best possible legal outcomes.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and provide sound advice on immigration matters.
• Draft and review legal documents, including petitions, applications, and affidavits.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients to strategize and implement case plans.
• Manage a caseload with efficiency, providing timely updates and clear communication to clients.
• Stay updated on changes in immigration law and regulations to provide accurate guidance.
• Assist in preparing for hearings, motions, and other legal procedures.
• Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar and in good standing.
• 1 year of experience.
• Strong understanding of immigration laws, procedures, and regulations.
• Excellent legal research and writing skills.
• Strong verbal communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Prior experience in immigration law, whether through internships, clinical work, or previous employment, is preferred.
• Fluency in Arabic or French (required); additional language skills are a plus.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
