The candidate will negotiate construction contracts for the development and improvement of company datacenters throughout the Americas region (currently, Canada, US, Mexico, Colombia and Brazil). With support from senior counsel, negotiate and project manage real estate transactions, including purchases, sales, leases, financing, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, development agreements and management agreements. Provide Canadian French language expertise to company’s global team and act as a clearinghouse for miscellaneous Canadian legal issues. Effectively and efficiently manage outside counsel. Navigate competing workflows, set appropriate priorities with clients and deliver results within agreed timelines. Think creatively and devise solutions to challenging problems, including making and articulating determinations regarding risks and benefits. Exercise mature and reliable judgment while enjoying company’s enthusiastic, informal and fast-paced environment. Flexibility and desire to work on challenging and new projects to support a lean and highly efficient legal team. Willingness to develop new areas of expertise and solve problems.
