A law firm seeks an Of Counsel attorney for its San Francisco, CA office. The role focuses on employment and labor law, providing strategic advice and counsel to employers. The successful candidate will work on developing proactive strategies and solutions to enhance workplace policies and practices.

Duties

• Conduct audits of employer practices, including wage and hour policies.
• Draft and revise incentive compensation documents, such as commission and bonus plans.
• Draft and revise employee policies and handbooks for clarity and compliance.
• Explain complex employment law issues to diverse audiences.
• Identify and evaluate problem-solving options for clients.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Admitted to the CA State Bar and in good standing.
• 9+ years of relevant experience in employment and labor law.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local workplace laws preferred.
• Understanding of agency enforcement techniques is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• California State Bar admission.

Skills

• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Experience conducting trainings or workplace investigations preferred.
