Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a highly experienced Senior-Level Health Care Associate Attorney to join its team in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate should have at least 5+ years of experience in healthcare regulatory and transactional matters, focusing on mergers and acquisitions. The role requires extensive expertise in various areas of healthcare law, including business transactions, regulatory diligence, fraud and abuse issues, licensure, enrollment, and reimbursement within Medicare and Medicaid frameworks. Additionally, the candidate should possess strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a demonstrated commitment to client service and teamwork.

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in health care regulatory and transactional matters.
  • Conduct regulatory due diligence and structuring in business transactions.
  • Advise on fraud and abuse issues, including compliance with Stark and anti-kickback laws.
  • Assist clients with licensure and enrollment processes.
  • Address reimbursement issues within Medicare and Medicaid statutory and regulatory frameworks.
  • Participate in mergers and acquisitions, including drafting and negotiating agreements.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar in Arizona (or eligibility for admission by motion).
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience practicing health care law, focusing on regulatory and transactional matters.
  • Experience representing providers and professional entities.
  • Strong understanding of health care laws and regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and client service.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with complex healthcare transactions.
  • Knowledge of reimbursement issues within Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Familiarity with health care compliance programs.
  • Ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

Certifications:

  • Certification in Health Care Law (preferred but not required).
