A law firm in Belleville, IL is seeking a dedicated and motivated attorney to join its Family Law team. Duties:

• Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, judgments, and orders
• Correspond with clients, court personnel, and other attorneys regarding cases
• Conduct client and witness interviews, and prepare witnesses for trial
• Ensure the accuracy of all legal documents before submission
• Appear in court for all assigned cases
• Manage all aspects of the assigned cases, from initial filing to final resolution
• Perform legal research on specific issues related to family law
• Handle necessary administrative duties related to case management, such as filing, mailing, and organizing case files

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
• Active license to practice law in Illinois
• Previous experience in family law is preferred
• Strong courtroom presence and ability to handle litigation effectively
• Excellent legal research and writing skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Illinois State Bar license

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois

Skills:

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
• Experience drafting legal documents and handling case management tasks
• Proficiency in legal research tools
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
