Duties

• Draft motions, pleadings, settlement agreements, and final orders.

• Oversee case files, track progress, and manage deadlines.
• Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, expert witnesses, and court staff.
• Daytime travel is required across West Virginia for various hearings.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in West Virginia.
• Prior family law experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent courtroom presence and legal writing skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and client relationship abilities.
• Confidence under pressure and compassion for people in crisis.
• Willingness to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to track and enter time daily.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in West Virginia.
